Series tied, off to Ottawa.

Last night's game was exactly what I expected in this series. Both teams were very even. Ottawa may have played a little better. The main difference? Toronto scored on 2 of their many chances, Ottawa failed to score on their many chances. Simple as that.

Also, Ottawa took an unusual amount of penalties. Unlike the Toronto press that blamed the referees after a similar performance by Toronto in game 1, I blame the players. They deserved them, and they were stupid. They have to be smarter.

I thought Lalime played great for a change. The team just didn't support him with any offense.

Oh, in other hockey news, my personal hockey team won the championship for the first time!

We were the #3 team, playing the #1 team in the final. They had 3 shutouts and a 7-2 win in their frst 4 playoff games. We had a less impressive record, including a loss in a non-elimination game. However, we managed to tie them 2-2 and force the shoot-out. Even though they had the #1 goalie in the league, we beat them 2-1 in the shootout.

Shoot-outs suck, but it sucks a lot less to win by shoot-out than lose by shoot-out. We would know, because two years earlier, we lost the championship by shoot-out.

Now that winter hockey is over. I can concentrate on my hockey tournament this weekend, and then get ready for softball, oh, and summer hockey.

One comment though... Your last post on the GSE... You need to go with what you think. Not what you think Bam Bam will say about your choice. Bam Bam is an excellent moderator... tough but fair.

Yup, could not agree more. I have been playing my style so that I could get critiqued on it and learn from my mistakes, but in my last shadow turn I fell into the trap of trying to play what I thought would please the teacher most. On my last Official turn, I went back to playing my style to get an honest critique as I definitely want to improve my play. If I get a couple of Bam-Bam's pungent weeds... then so be it, at least I will attempt to correct for the future.

"Training Succession Game"Thanks, I am following the latest game now. Very interesting.

It's too bad you are unable to play on larger maps as I would suggest joining our training. It has been a tremendous help to me, especially as it allowed me to better my early game and attempt Maso.

What or where is GSE and what is the topic here?

The link and explanation on GSE was done by Tech and Damoose, but it referred to my last Shadow move where I made a decision based upon what I thought our Teacher (Bam-Bam) would prefer instead of me playing my style. One of the benefits of this training session is playing your sytle of game and getting critiqued on it. As Damoose stated, Bam-Bam is tough but indeed fair and I have learned alot.

Newf... You want to read the SG #1 thread I think. That was the first game run by Sirian of RB. You also want to go through the shadow thread for game 5 where it is explained again... but differently. You should be able to find the all the SG links in the thread in the main forum that Tech gave. If not let me know.

Nope. My understanding about what exactly he's doing is a little fuzzy but he is supposed to be back after AP is released.

And truth be told the only reason I'm going to pass him is that he is not playing and I am.

There's a lot of that going around these days.

I guess that those Lurkers Anonymous meetings have really made an impact.

Mmmmmm chocolate... I think that Tech has a recipe for Chocolate Coated Torian Tounges. If you ask I bet he'll give it up.
