Greetings. I made a program that helps to control whole technology tree, improvements, modules and ships. It is localized via English.str file. I can say, that it won't be very useful to pro-players, who know this tree from beginning to end. But such newbies like me will enjoy it.
Read instructions before launching it.

Have not tested it yet, but i think it's great that you put time and effort into helping others to enjoy this game.

Maybe I'm doomed now. . . Why have you given me this link ?
Actually, the idea of put the application in inet appeared not in the beginning. I wanted first to make it for myself (cause it's really hard to travel through tree for noob). Then I thought it can help others. You seem to benot noob

I've got some problems with screen resolution. ATG works correctly in 1024x768. I'll rework it & it will work on other main resolutions. But 2 lmall windows' size doesn't allow to work in 800x600. Ofcource I can overlay 1 window on another, but is it worth making ? Does anybody still work on 800x600 ?

Found a bug with double-loding of ships, modules & improvements lists in information screen II. But application still works stable.

Wanted to upload new version to the library, but couldn't do it however. Anyway, it's available on my site http://alex-polkovnik.narod.ru Link
There are some improvements in interface, and some fatal bugs fixed. But there's still the problem of resolution. By this moment it can work only on 1024x768 resolution correctly (or higher, but with small letters). I'm working on it and this problem will be solved in couple of weeks (I'll be away for a week).
I'd like to add, thatit works only with Altarian Prophecy and only with standart data files (no mods or packs can be added). I think I can solve problem with GalCiv v1.2, but I don't promice that I will be able to add an opportunity of using mods or packs. I think, if you use mods or packs you are not a beginner, so you don't need this program
But I believe, that this program will help beginners to learn the basics of the great game The Galactic Civilizations.
See you in September. Looking forward to hearing some comments or bug reports (first better ).

thatit works only with Altarian Prophecy

Don't have that... but
don't need this program

But keep up the good work...
See you in September.

The new version is ready (v3.5). It now supports 1024x768, 1152x864 and 1280x960 resolution (on other 1280x the window will apear like at 1152x864). It also supports AP as well as GC v1.2x. I made some interface fixes and advanced (now you can click also on "Future Research Options" to select that technology). Please, read everything before downloading.

Soon I will add 3 or 4 more video modes (1280x720, 1280x768 and 1280x1024 and I will try to add 800x600 mode) and fix minor bugs (if there are any), maybe will make some interface improvements, but very slight. As long as noone will write bug reports, offer new ideas, ask for some modifications or something else, and as long as I have no more free time (studiing begins), this version will be final. I see no sense in adding possibility to handle mods (especially because adding technologies to this interface seems almost impossible, though improvements, ships and modules can be easily added), Thanks everybody for using ATTG & thanks Stardock & Strategy First for this wonderful game.

If my calculations are correct, near 60 people have this program

Only today I've found something like my program: http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/fulltechtree.htm Link
But it gives you the information corresponding to "their" version of game. And I don't know, if it is of-line(there's PDF-version there, but I haven't downloaded it). That's all I wanted to say.

Added a program to prepare data easily. Just 1 click. Fixed some bugs. Have fun.

Sorry for those who downloaded it 22.09, that small program didn't work if there's no registry "path" parametr. If everything is ok with registry, don't worry.

Kreator3, are you still supporting your ATTG program?

If you are, I've got a problem getting it to work - I've downloaded 3.6 and installed it but I am getting an error stating that rtl70.bpl is missing from computer. Best I can come up with is that the file is Delphi related.

Hi all.
Well, I've wrote it 4 years ago. Noone has written anything to me, so I didn't know about any problems.
Yes, right you are, it's Delphi library. I compiled with one important option off, so I didn't feel any problems, because I have Delphi installed and have this library of course.
I recompiled both .exe-s and will upload them soon. I hope the tech tree hasn't changed since 2005
I will tell you when it's done.

Thanks Chris Falk for emailing me his bugreport (I wouldn't know about the post in this forum).

Here's also a screenshot of ATTG:
http://alex-polkovnik.narod.ru/ATTG/ATTG.png Link
This shows main advantages of using ATTG:
- It autoroutes to the selected tech.
- It shows info about tech, improvement, ship, module.
- Fast access to anything you want with 2-3 clics.
