Hello everybody!

It's been a looong time. Too much work in real life, but what can be done about that? Bill have to be paid, and I had some huge leases from my last game. Now that things have settled, I've been playing more often, and at least I managed to breach the 20000 barrier yesterday, so the year end on a better note (the good note was having galciv in the first place )
At least I'm not lost in the depths of the Metaverse. Back from the 2000s place into the 600s. It's better, even though very very faraway from most of you. But my main objective is just to have a ranking higher than my account number (player id), so another 50-60 places to go up and I'm ok. Maybe next year.

Well I just dropped by to wish you a happy new year, specially you who live in the east, and will be getting it before the others. It has been a pleasure talking with you all, sharing information and tips and strategies about the game. Without which I wouldn't have won my latest games. Thanks to your help, and see you next year.

Happy New Year to all of you! Hope you all had a great party. The wife and I celebrated in Aldarian fashion. Drinking heavily and behaving badly! We actually missed the countdown! I killed a beer and looked at the clock and it read 12:35! Oh, well...I've watched Dick Clark (a.k.a. the Eternal One) too many times before anyway.

Does anybody else love Rolling Rock?

Well I tried to push us past 4M but I guess I came up a bit short. The next game submitted should do the trick.

Oh, man! We are just short of 4,000,000!! Great job, Greldon! You're cranking out those Gig/Masos like a machine!

So, so close... good job, Greldon!

I've had a lot of game time over the holidays. I probably had 25 hours in this last game.

12/31-1/2 You played 25 hours? Did you stop to sleep or eat??

#1063  by Citizen musicfan55 - 1/2/2004 3:52:05 PM

Why sleep or eat when you can play computer games?

If you're prepared to use some pretty appalling tactics, you can win a Gig Maso in a tenth of that time - see the Lightning Alpha Strike thread in the strategies forum. Though if you're going for Pure Good like I do, it takes a little longer.

Are you still around, Smeagol? I was starting to feel like writing some more fantasy stories, maybe less humorous this time. Can you clarify your story for me? Are the three rings you refer to meant to be three Great Rings, as opposed to (say) three rings for the elven lords?

I seem to recall eating something .... I think. Yes, I slept a couple of times. It's just that when I wasn't eating or sleeping, I was conquering the galaxy. I can watch all the ball games, or whatever, on TV while I play GalCiv. Translation: I live alone so nobody cares if I play all the time.

Rolling Rock is made just down the road from me a ways. My stepfather worked at the Rolling Rock country club for decades. That isn't where they make the beer, of course, but, well, never mind. Long story.

Less than 5,000 pts away.

Who is going to get the honor of tipping us over 4Mil?

I'm starting a game now... I'll probably get dragged away from the comp before I have a chance to finish though.

I'd always suspected it could be done fast, but I had no idea HOW fast. It's really quite amazing.

{ I can't say... its for others to work out from what I've written and what has been said in the books and the movies... although I have dropped hints.. ie: Smeagol is looking for something and BlueSteel's spirit is looking for other things on his quest... I can't say too much more without giving it all away.. as I want others to join in... and Yes you are a KEY player in all this because you have been over the sea to the place that the elder elves have been.. and are the only known one who has returned (so far)... re-read the msg where smeagol came out of his coma/sleep/freeze... what ever you want to call it... }
