Wonder what are they doing with all those empty bottles that we have in the wall?

Actually, they are full bottles on the wall! They are removing them, drinking the contents, and no mention of what is done with the empties.

If they are returnable for deposit we could use the extra BC's for research I guess or better security to keep pirates out.

Work has interupted my forum time quite a bit today. I don't know why I put up with all the interuptions!

My wife is going shopping with some friends tonight, so while I'm keeping the baby out of trouble, I'm going to be committing atrocities against the Yor. I especially enjoy vaporizing their systems with Terror Stars.

Hey, Kit can take all that rot-gut Jack he wants to! So long as he doesn't find the special batch of moonshine I've got hidden!

#1458  by Veteran Disciple777 - 1/14/2004 4:10:37 PM

Those are the bottles that were already used by the Trolls (that is the reason they are in the wall, only contain Troll's saliva for the special spells)

#1459  by Veteran Disciple777 - 1/14/2004 4:12:52 PM

Oh my, they drank the Troll's saliva, very soon they will be turn into stone, Oh my, Theoden run to the tower and get the antidote against (SSETS) suddenly solidification of the extremitis of those drinking Troll's saliva.

Quick update from the frontline

Everything is quiet

Fellowship of the Ring Ray the Wanderer 81 1321 4305938
Special Forces Wild Wombat 16 813 3937392
European Alliance _G-Force_ 142 1120 3380350

I don't like it, too quiet around here, maybe this is just the prelude of another attack.

#1467  by Citizen Greldon - 1/14/2004 6:36:03 PM

The calm before the storm, perhaps. It's been quite here at the Criminal Task Force Center as well. Maybe everyone is recovering from the pyrotechnics of the last couple days. Guess I'll head over to the Prancing Pony for a Torian Tornado or two. (off duty now)

I was playing I added a small one anyway. Off duty now, so, off for a Torian Tornado with Greldon. Here I come Prancing Pony!

Are u so jaded from your past multiplayer experiences that you would not even give the free trial a go, Sirian?

I don't do collectible card games, Ray. They contain a gimmick aimed to appeal to the vain and the insecure. The primary interest is to sell more and more decks. "Buy your way to an advantage" is not my idea of good gameplay, nor generally of a place to find gamers who would share my interests.

The event you describe, with fixed conditions and a nominally even playing field might appear at first glance to be fair, but even then it is not. Knowledge of the decks, the cards, would be crucial. How to obtain that knowledge? Buy more decks. It all comes back in the end to pressure to buy more decks if you want to perform better.

If you are cool with that, or have the restraint to leave off additional buys and can sit content to play from a certain rung of card ownership, more power to you. That the game's designer is personable and generous (in your experience) doesn't factor for me. If you're having fun, you're getting your money's worth. However, that kind of gaming could never be fun for me. It is just not my style.

You should not confuse my disinterest in the game with being jaded on multiplayer in general. You're speculating, and guessing wrong on several counts. If you are curious, do a websearch with two keywords combined: "sirian game". Most of the results will pertain to me and my various gaming activities over the years. Most of them are multiplayer. I've been a busy boy.

It has been such a delightful conversation with you, Sirian.

In case you are not aware, I'm extremely turned off by your arrogance.

Shalom shook the dust from his sandals and entered the Temple of The Ages to retrieve the last scrolls.
"My son" a voice rumbled inside the Temple, Shalom turned around looking for the voice, again the voice spoke "My son", Shalom opened his heart and asked "here I am my LORD", the voice spoke again "my son, I have a special task for you, you must become one with me, leave the material things that have blinded your wisdom behind and come and join me, you an I shall be one, from now and for the eternity".
How can I do that my LORD? he asked, the voice said, "Just step into The LIGHT", suddenly in front of him a bright door into another dimension opened, Shalom took a deep breath to give himself courage to move his petrified legs, one step, then another, his legs were moving, without a second thought he crossed the gate...

Thanks for everything you have done, for encouraging me, and your kind words, I am planning on retire from the game, I will still play, but I am going to be on my own, no empire, no affiliation, no posts on the Metaverse, just playing the game and getting my score up, once in a while you may see a post of me or two, but that is it. I had it with all the people flaming and all the garbage that is going on, without a moderator the forum is not worth it, check the latest statement of wild wombat in the special forces tread and you will understand.

#1474  by Veteran Terl - 1/15/2004 8:42:11 AM

I am sorry but I just do not see why that post is that bad. After the other day, why even read the thread and why would you need to post there anyway?

I say, play, post games, post lightly and all will blow over soon That post is no reason to do as you are suggesting.
