Hello everyone. Long time no seen (my fault).

Shalom,
I too have noticed there was some tension in the forum lately -- I tried to keep track of what was happening (too bored at work). But Shalom, I do agree with Terl: I saw there was some flaming between you and some special forces, but that's no reason to leave the forum. And even if as I said, things were a little rough lately (I had my own experience in the environmental thread, with Maxtipherous) I don't think it's accurate (in my opinion) to say that there is a lot of flaming and garbage and that the forum is not worth it. I think it's one of the friendliest I've ever seen (though I have a limited experience in the area: not so long ago I was not confortable enough with english to participate): and I say this even though it was the first time in my life I was accused of spreading propaganda as nazi's did (only because I said that there was a greenhouse effect and it was bound to have some consequences) . But I must say it was one person, and there are many others here that are worth talking to, and reading.
I don't think there was a need for another post about you in the special forces thread. But you can just not go in there. It would be a pity for all the new players that come here searching for help if the veterans start quitting because some post that will be lost amidst 1493 others in a few days. Imagine what catastrophy it would be to them if the only help they get is from people like me who cannot get past medium/painful

Just my 6 cents. (the euro is running very high nowadays)

Well said Nastavnik, well said! You are right though, this is one of the friendliest forums I have ever been in.

Shalom, please see the bits about veteran players not leaving. Think of the newbies too.

Nastavnik: Your English is very good by the way

I am just frustrated with the lack of respect, I went over there and apologize and asked to put everything behind, but seems that few people don't have the heart to put things behind. That is what I think that Stardock must assign one moderator for this forum to just enforce some order, specially after one of the guilty parts openly and publicly apologized and asked the other part to put things behind. I am not leaving the FOTR but I will be limiting my postings in the forum until Stardock places a Moderator that will enforce the rules.

*blushes*
Thanks Terl.
By the way, finally someone who plays medium too !!

And your cat does look a little on the dangerous side does he not?
But I guess it all depends on whom he is aiming at

And Shalom, you'll see in a few days (with some luck and a bit a good old fashioned common sense) those posts will be far behind even though you may not want to talk to some people (which is quite normal). onAnd the people you get along with will still be here. I guess they can be reason enough to keep active here.

I like to play faster games. I figure two games in the same time as a larger galaxy comes out about the same. I just like to play

And your cat does look a little on the dangerous side does he not?But I guess it all depends on whom he is aiming at

I like to think the cat is merely aiming at the rather nasty, large dog in the yard across the street. I like the picture. Whoever put it together did a good job.

Very true, and this happens all the time anyway. There are always people you avoid to some extent

ALWAYS.
Indeed.

By my presence here during working hours, you can see how passionate I am about my work lately... Wish I was home, playing .

Shalom: Just stay at home (our thread) for a couple weeks. Like everyone says, it won't be long before this is all forgotten.

I am at work too Don't tell.... There are a few of us that post from work, I think, so you are not alone.

I too, would rather be home playing.

Yes. Everytime I check the forum I have to keep an eye out for people passing by. Thus some spelling problems (what a good excuse for a poor english ).

Someone is coming. *goes back to work*, at least it should look like that if noone pays a lot of attention

Back for a quick word:
Hello Ray. It has been a long time!

OK, here's the plan. If I can win this stinkin' lotto, we open a company (it's income strictly from investments). We get the best computer equipment etc, hire selected GalCiv players (salaries and full bennies of course. And yes, it would be an international company so we can accomodate more. After all we would want a vacationing spot ) The company's mission? High scores on GalCiv. The only requirement would be to submit at least one game a day, enjoy your lunch and breaks. Attire strictly casual.... work hours, whenever. Yes, we would have a work from home option

Back to reality he falls-----> thump

The one huge I played just took too long. I can finish the smaller sizes quicker and post more games.

Did you get the UP thing fixed? The fix Spellforce has on the mod site and the one CariElf posted in the sticky thread works for me.

I always play gigantic .... I'd need at least a day and a half between submissions.

Now that I was enjoying the picture you wake up, man I was dreaming with a house close to the coast, I don't like the beach, I like the coast where you can go and pick up stones and shells and take slow walks without having to bump into snowbirds!!!! and also as part of my dream was to have DSL connection with a 29 inches computer screen with an allien computer I like area 51 they are so cool. Well let me keep my dream, terl walks in and says Mario you have submited 10 games this week you get a salary raise, what do you want to do with your money, well I think I will donate it to Stardock, sudddenly wife walks into the room and slaps husband in the back of the head, wake up!! you are sleeping on the computer!! go to bed!!!, ends of dream

Ok we need 10 more posts to hit 1500 so lets keep talking about the Terl's Company, I want to be the computer buyer.

Good point! We could always work a formula based on galaxy size. Who would really care? We'd be living off investments anyway

We could even branch out into other games, or even be a professional beta-testing company

Oh, we'd also have the secret wing, that would identify someone in need and we would take care of them anonymously. You know, watching the news we see a family burned out of their house and stuck, we just buy them a new one...no press, no glory, they just get presented with a house by a "front man" they can't track back.... Someone needs to go to college but no bucks? They get an anonymous GalCivver scholarship... it would be fun...

#1494  by Citizen Nastavnik - 1/15/2004 10:54:59 AM

That was a nice dream. Can I come visit? Maybe my wife can distract yours from interrupting our gaming. they can go complain together while picking up stones and shells
By the way, I know a beach just like that in Brazil (sighs).

terl, I think that company can become a really big multinational! Thought I would work from home, I wouldn't mind visiting headquarters (you know, the one where they say "front line? which front line?") and the recreation facilities Shalom was dreaming about.

Oh my god: how many posts I missed while writing my previous one! That is a really big discussion. Only the caipiroska is missing (vodka, ice, lemon, sugar) and the sunny beach
