Glad my song got everyone relaxed, by the way. Especially our president (who I hope isn't planning to send any ears to any software developers we know... )

Say, what angel choir is there? I thought it was just Steve, Poida, Dazza, and Shazza.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love

(Copa Copacabana)

His name was Snookums, he had a mullet
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancin' there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Evil Steve went a too far, Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....she lost her love

(Copa. . Copacabana)
(Copa Copacabana) (Copacabana, ahh ahh ahh ahh)
(Ahh ahh ahh ahh Copa Copacabana)
(Talking Havana have a banana)
(Music and passion...always the fash--shun)

Her name is Lola, she was a showgirl
But that was 30 years ago, when they used to have a show
Now it's a disco, but not for Lola
Still in the dress she used to wear, faded feathers in her hair
She sits there so refined, and drinks herself half-blind
She lost her youth and she lost her Tony
Now she's lost her mind!

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....don't fall in love

(Copa) don't fall in love
Copacabana
Copacabana

I met her in a club down in old Soho,
where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry cola.
C-o-l-a cola.
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance.
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said,

Lola
L-o-l-a Lola.

Well I'm not the world's most physical guy
but when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine.
Oh my Lola, L-o-l-a Lola.
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
why she walked like a woman and talked like a man.
Oh my Lola, L-o-l-a Lola.

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
under electric candlelight.
She picked me up and sat me on her kneev and said: Dear boy won't you come home with me?
Well I'm not the world's most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my Lola.
Lola, Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola
Lola, Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola

I pushed her away.
I walked to the door.
I fell to the floor.
I got down on my knees.
Then I looked at her and she at me.

Well that's the way that I want it to stay.
And I always want it to be that way for my Lola.
Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls.
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world. (except for Lola)
Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola

Well I left home just a week before.
And I'd never ever kissed a woman before.
But Lola smiled and took me by the hand.
And said:Dear boy I'm gonna make you a man.

Well I'm not the world's most masculine man.
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man. (and so is Lola)
Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola...

The moral of the story: don't get involved with strangers called Lola. That means you, Snookums.

With gritted TEETH for my journey

No one had BALLS left to take on this quest

Thay supplied me with fresh ARMS

And told me to keep TOES to the ground

Almost but not quite--here's the real deal (I think):

What rolls down stairs
alone or in pairs
and over your neighbor's dog?
It fits on your back,
It's good for a snack,
Everyone knows it's log!
It's log, it's log!
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood!
It's log, it's log, it's better than bad, it's good!

That was freaky. I was just singing that in an IRC channel for something totally different, and a few minutes later kyro starts singing it on the Stardock servers. Coincidence? You decide.

Like Evil Steve I could not remmber the rest of the song,
Without poping a tape in.

This thread proves the madness has expanded past Skowbo and has encompassed the entirety of the Metaverse! It must be that the powerful radio stations on Skowbo have been amplified by hyperspace antennas. I could swear that the loud Drengin negotiation music has been drowned out by the GC Play House audio tracks. Keep it up.

Puh-leeze. Kinky bots have long been part of the posse traditions. And I made sure to take them with me.

Hmm... unless you Anzacs have been up to something I don't know about... where's a spymaster when you need one?

Been skulking around ANZAC space trying to keep track of them, of course! (Among other things.) Actually, I was kind of on a repo job that went bad over there. If folks remember way back in the now inactive "Come sail the sea of stars" recruiting thread, Gerakken had been fooling around with captive Yor for a long time. The spirited little devils were very hard to control at times. Some obviously got out of the lab and wound up in far-off places. PBP grabbed a faulty translator model once and it ed to an incident, for example, and other people may have been breaking in the lab to steal them as well. Obviously some foul ANZAC agents got a hold of some of my precious specimens and found a program they would accept! After discovering the utter corruption of the stolen Yor, it was obvious to me that I had to write them off. Trying to bring them back home might corrupt the other Yor.

**************** G.C. TWILIGHT HOURS ****************

by Veteran Asmodean dk

I feel that the actual game related discussion is drowning in this forum, with the empire threads taking over. It's getting to the point, where it's actually hard to find the thread that you want.

I move that a forum be created for all empire and Metaverse discussion, and that relevant threads be moved there.

by Citizen MM77

HOW in H@!! did THIS! CRAP! GET into the FORUM!

I'm going to have to start a Petition to have SPAM in a separate forum!

by Veteran Asmodean dk

My oh my, how nice and polite you are, MM77. All I did was suggest that this forum be kept for gameplay issues only. I didn't kill your mother or anything, you know. *sigh*

by Citizen MM77

SORRY, Asmodean dk

I was upset at something that happened at G.R.O.S.S.

It's getting to the point, where it's actually hard to find the thread that you want.

Veteran Asmodean dk,

Down on the BOTTOM of the page there is a icon,
Click on the one that says Watch Thread

Hopefull if you have anymore problems The G.C. Community here which I LOVE TO, can help you.

Most questions ARE answered and a lot of time's

BY PEOPLE WHO POST EMPIRE RELATED STUFF!

We all try to keep are activites in a FEW threads.

by Diplomat Solitair

MM77,
I think you need to look at Asmodean'd id a little closer. Player ID 127 means that he was here BEFORE this game was released.. He's just renewing the request (which occurs every few months) for a more structured forum.
Last time this was discussed a number of senior people even offered to moderate various forums (bug/support, empire, general, AAR) but stardock seem reluctant to spread the posts out further.
I would also be in favour of at least a support forum, where people with problems can get support. I believe that many experienced users would read that forum and help where they could.

Veteran Asmodean dk

Solitair: Thanks for the back-up

MM77: It's okay. We can all get worked up over something.

Regarding the topic of this thread: I usually use a forum where every post goes into it's appropriate forum. While the GalCiv forums are somewhat categorized, one could wish for further division. But if it would take valuable time from Stardock, then by all means...let it slide.

by Citizen MM77

Asmodean dk,

Thank You for Except my apology in Post #7

By your statment you wrote I belive you could not fine the post.

But it seems your more on a clutter issue.

I agree it gets messy and a separate forum sounds nice.

But a large part of people that help answer questions are in empires and if thay are in another forum it would probably put a heavier load on STARDOCK.

I may be in left field on this one but I'm guessing the reason some people become Veteran, like yourself is because you help people in the forums, And most are in empires.

If thay were in a separate forum thay would probly rearly come to this one anymore.

I have been know to be wrong at times, its just my thoughts.

by Diplomat Solitair

MM77,
that's the risk of having seperate forums. I for one know that I'd still read the supprot forums and try to help. I'm sure many others would fall into the same category. I think the important change would be to have a support forum, not a Metaverse forum (though I'd like one of those as well). A support forum would allow those with problem to EASILY find all support emails (they get lost on the main forum with all the metaverse posts) and would give Stardock a single forum to check on. The other forums (such as strategy, metaverse, AAR, off-topic) could all be passed on to moderators to take care of. This would leave Stardock with less forum work. The moderators can flag important things to Stardock. This is what happens on many other forums and seems to work well.

by Citizen MM77

Diplomat Solitair,

That was very well said.

I Hope STARDOCK reads your posts.

Your I.D. #41 HOPEFULLY will have the leverage to make this happen

Poem dedicated to MM77

MM77 lost his cool
he started yelling like a fool
he insulted people back and forth
and then he realized oppps I was wrong

This is the rap for MM77
the man of the hour
with the shoes full of flour
sorry bud, but I have to do
the sorry poem I wrote to you.

Sounds like rap or better said rip, yucks, I stink as a writer, sorry MM77 your style cannot be forged, you are unique.

by Citizen MM77

YES! and the best part about it Jedi Captain Mayito7777,

Were going to have a NEW FORUM THANKS to I.D.#41

by Diplomat Solitair

We are?

Where did you hear that? All I can do is ask Stardock nicely. I think we probably need more people requesting such a forum (or at least letting their feelings be known) before such a request is made though.

So those that would like more forums, please post!

by Citizen MM77

Gee, I don't know anyone I.D.#41 with a lower number than yours that could help.

Only those in STARDOCK.

I only have a I.D.#3566 and that TOTALY USELESS TO !...

by Citizen Evil Steve

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

by Citizen GeGe

Don't laugh Evil Steve !
Diplomat Solitair I.D.#41 is CORRECT!
