ok so in the begining there were these 8 superbeings races and the Drangils were one of them. they were in command of energys and these energys became tanted when the drangils become uncontect with watching over them and somthing amde all of the races disapear but the engergys remede scaterd across the galaxy but since all the young raves were un capale of getting them they were left un totched. and the tainted one had a way of changeing things to a sertain way and both early earth and early Altera enconterd these energys and thats why humans and alterains are the same?

In the beginning there were there 5 Mithrilar. Draginol was one of them. These were "guardians of the universe". Their job was to guard the crystal known as the Telenanth.

Draginol used the Telenanth to create the Precursors, a race of super beings who he envisioned would serve as his army to dominate the universe. The Precursors eventually broke down into a civil war. On the one side were the Arnor and the other side the Dread Lords. Eventually the Dread Lords were defeated and Draginol was trapped in an ancient artifact. The Arnor disappeared.

What we do know is that all things tainted by Draginol have his physical appearance. For he looked exactly like the Altarians and Humans. But no one knows why.

Now, thousands of years later, the younger races have started colonizing the galaxy and finding the galaxy littered with evidence of this ancient war. Anomalies are scattered throughout and planets contain secrets that no one would have ever imagined but pop up on occasion. Weapons, stories, and artifacts from the Precursor wars, the fall of the Mithrilar and the disappearance of the Arnor are everywhere along with pieces of the mystery of why humans, Altarians and Precursors look like Draginol, the dark Mithrilar.

How's that?

To be fair, Brad, you do have a head start on him

A head start doesn't even begin to cover Brad's knowledge.

I like the way the game presents the backstory in bits and pieces. It takes several plays to uncover enough of it to piece together a decent picture (like why the Altairians and humans are identical in appearance). Admittedly, Brad revealed that just now, sort of.

I still haven't seen the dreaded Draginol event. Looking foward to it.
