There you go.....anybody who can make an accountant laugh deserves a senatorship
I just got my whiped out by the drengin. I wanted to try a maso game as Warparty and then win by raw military force.
It looked pretty good, but somewhere along the way the drengin just got to strong and destroyed everybody including myself

Orpon, I just managed to finish my first Gigantic-Maso. Yes, it is extremely hard. None of us are as worthy of Cotal. To us mere mortals it's difficult. A few things.
First of, even the usual tactics of turning the enemy one against the other is almost completely impossible, it costs a tons of money (or, at least, I didn't manage to do it). I played with fertile planet setting - which means tons of planets and a very speedy pathway to pure good. Also ,it makes scouting easier - no need to scout, almost any star is yellow.
Once you reach good (that with less planets may take awhile), you need some luck. If you have a good map, you end up near the good guys (Torian and Altarian). Trade with them and boost your economy. With that you should be protected from the nasty Drengin and Yor. This arrangement might take some time - don't hestitate to restart many times. You need a lot of luck to get a good map.
You must colonize quickly. Get a good starting location and start cranking up colony ships. Keep money reserves to speed buy colonies if you need to block the AI. DON'T LET HIM NEAR YOU. One colony with incredible puts out so much culture early on it can assimilate your entire empire. I usually go for +1 speed, +70 population, economics party. If you expand quickly and you got a good map, you can even manage to take the eventual lead in population (must buy aprodisiac). once you have the highest population, you've preety much won. Keep yourself protected and spend a lot on social to bolser culture. Ignore research at the start - you are going to be ass-whopped in research anyway. Do try to get the Terraformer - with any population advantage this little baby will win you the game.
Once your stable and not under attack, start ganging up on the evil AI's with the good guys. With luck, you should grab yourself quite a few colonies - the AI usually takes a long time before he captures the system he cleared.
Scout a lot. Build starbases on resources. Don't hestitate to use wars - send AI's against each other (VERY expensive) to capture more resources once bases are destroyed. Keep doing this. Lots of resources are your equilizer. Get enough culture resources and you grab the lead. Crank up more constructors once you have culture lead and culture-bomb with deathstars. Build them at the border and send them in, 2-3 per sector. That will get them. Deathstars move slowly so take your time. Concentrate on one of the good guys until you bring him down, then finish off with a quick attack. Do this once you reach excalibur, which prods major buttocks. Be wary, the other good AI will probably go after you but if you built yourself a new fleet of excaliburs he should be done for.
That's it. Good luck.

| And I am sure that teaching those ANZACs a lesson has nothing to do with it, right? |
|
Right. Their austrlian, dudes. They are going to be defeated by sheer force of their inaptitude. We don't really need to put an effort. We're going to win regardless. After all, it's one of our colonies. They will do as they are told. The criminals.

"Next on the agenda," _G-Force_ looks down at this notepad. "Ah, GROSS is looking for...." _G-Force_ was interrupted in midsentence.
"Attention. Attention." A man dressed in all black appears before the crowd. "Listen up. This is to all the EVIL men out there. The Evil Empire is looking to expand. This is an invitation to all interesting in an 'evil-only empire'" The mysterious man disappears like his entrance leaving all those in attendance amazed. That something like this could happen.

Another long night in front of the screens. The minion sighed.
Since his master, the "venerable", Lord Orpon had been promoted to head of security his nights had consisted of boring screenwatching, the only plus to his job was the hourly update from the spycam in the Anzac nurses locker room.
And now this mysterious guy all decked out in black had appeared on the screens, wheneverhe thought he'd seen something it turned out to be just a shadow. Only once had the camera managed to capture this elusive carcather on recording, a single blurred frame on an entire hours worth of videofeed. The minion didn't know what to make of it until the morning after when the entire ship had woken up to a maniacal laughter blaring out on the intercom, when security rushed to investigate it turned out to be a nanoscopic bug planted by some unknown agent. Upon examination it actually turned out to have an inscription written at the micron level, it read: "Bwahahahahaa! The Evil Empire strikes again! Brought to you courtesy of Dark Assasin." Lord Orpon had been furious and demanded this madmans immediate apprehension, but worse was to come.
As it turned out the Emperor himself was portrayed in a stillshot on every monitor of the ship, sitting on his private loo with his pants down and wearing a horrified expression as a holographic image of the Dark Assasin appeared to take a bite out of his head. They still hadn't found the bug and the Emperor was beginning to suffer from constipation as he didn't dare take a crap anymore! Now the minion had this shift to find the mad prankster or he'd be flogged and demoted for failing his duty, what a nice life
Well, there was always the licentious blonde Anzac nurse who kept cavorting in front of the camera in an effort to make him defect, and doing a damn good job of it too...

Thinks? No. I got him. I knew this military-issue M-4 will be good for something, someday. Stupid army. Next time, oh evil one, you might not want to inflitrate an empire protected by an Israeli.
Now, someone said something about tea?

Nice, the Euros get a point for originality. Lord Orpon that was good. Harel Eilam that was good too. However an Israeli doens't scare me either. Keep dreaming.

I'm striking fear in the hearts of millions. Tell me a better way to get all to fear my name? Especially coming from someone who is 'diet' good.
Don't school me on how to be evil, I have that down thank you very much.

Then you are a foolish Assassin, and therefor without any consquences. Continue your drivel, oh foolish one. The Alliance halls shall ever be protected.
This might be a good time to point out that in real life I was the best sharpshooter in my platoon. 2 cm spread of 5 bullets at 75 meters. Beat that!
