Ok i got a very rudementary incomplete site made. Everything you want in it isn't there, so email me with want you guys want, like, have already for the site?
I can't spend too much on time on the site so all help will be appreciated.
If you need support material for fansites related to the Alliance tell me, as I have some cool suggestions of websites from which such material can be obtained. We are becoming, after all, a massive emmpire...
Thanks for making me a senator too Impune
Thanks for the kind words Freya.
I've taken the long weekend off to recover from my birthday, that was correct!
But I've done that far and away from home and thus my computer. Returned on Monday but it's so hectic and work that sadly I haven't been able to play a single bit
The upcoming weekend is GalCiv weekend though! Can't wait to finish that game. Of course I'll keep you guys posted.
Good to see we're doing so well. Congrats to our topguys!

In the meantime, I finished my 2nd game (yes, you read it well: I played GC only 2 times....) with a score around 1300.
In the next days I'll start my 3rd game with a difficult level of Normal.
Nice work everyone Also have exams soon but after that I can help on making a webpage Was webmaster of at.stratics.com for awhile and have made webpages for various corporations. But that was a few years ago, but im sure I still remember a lot of it.
I think we should start having a serious debate on our strategy to clinch the top position. Apolyton seem to have far too many recruits. Any suggestions for improvement? It is more a matter of when it happens than if it happens, but the quickier we are top the better.
Welcome to the empire to all new members.
As for the website: the empire logo was taken from official EU webpages. My suggestion is thus to focus on those many EU institution with really cool websites and 'borrow' some of the graphics.

Just joined. Hope I'll make myself useful in the long run .
Hmm, well we can check the Apolyton member profiles to see if any are Europeans (likely) and try to recruit them (unlikely, but a double hit for each success as they lose and we gain!).
If the website can offer something like members only access to strategies, tricks, extra graphics for the game etc then that might help as well. Impossible to really control distribution but it gives a feeling of exclusivity
Of course we can always focus on playing the game. They are some 35% ahead of us score-wise so it might not be that easy to catch up.
European Apolyton.net members
-------------------------------
Enzio (score 7234) is from Germany
LDiCesare (score 3480) is from France
alkimiya (score 2201) is from Sweden
mtrev (score 584) is from the UK
Can anybody answer Markus Aurelius question about joining. I'm sure it is not averaged but don't exactly know how it's calculated. Link to question: Link
Yes i can answer that question. Just added all our scores together and got 83561.8. Our score as an empire was 83561.8. So the answer is: The scores are added up for each player.
Oh yeah Alf Melin I agree on your idea about sharing tactics etc.. Will make us score much better Funny thing is we have less than half the members of apolypton and more than 3/4 the score of them. Seems we europeans have our gaming skills functioning quite well hehe I actually had an alpha centauri page on apolyton a long while ago. Have worked for apolyton.net so kinda funny compeating against them now hehe.
Btw my three best tips for great scores are: 1.Each planet has a detail screen where you can set propaganda. If you set the propaganda each turn so you have 100%moral your population will skyrocket. 100%moral=Max population growth 2.Try not to invade other planets, instead try setting up 3 starbases with culture and watch the planet swith to your side without you loosing any of your population. Because of this strategy i had 7000million people by the end of my last game. 3. Speed +2 is AWESOME Bonuses like social production and millitary production is a waist of time in my oppinion - each production you make you have to pay for so instead of having 50%bonus in production and beeing able to pay only for 30%work rate you can have a 60% workrate and get the same effect and use the points for a better bonus. (like speed, planet quality, economy and morale)
Totally agree about the social/military boosters and also tech. All of these are easily boosted by improvements and starbases to levels where you can no longer afford 100% spending, so IMHO it is far better to go for PQ, Trade, Morale and Economy boosters - you can never have too much cash and all of these help ensure max income
Another tactic - in my latest game I progressed tech beyond Dreadnought before I ever had to build a military ship. To keep the peace I just got some of the races to attack each other (by trading relatively low-level tech), they were too busy destroying their enemies to care about getting tribute from me.
