Mill Mountain--yep, that's the one. Gotta love that star landmark.

Baltimore's redevelopment has been pretty great too. I love going down to the inner harbor.

Surther, with all jest aside... would you like to join the Jedi Republic? Things seem dead around these parts (well except for all the Jedi and the Hobbits). Seems to be dead all over the Metaverse. We are looking for people who are active in the forum and we would be happy to have you along. You would be offered a place on the Council if you were to accept.

Things have been dead on this string, but we still have some loyal MWCers submitting scores. I can't give up on the corn fields. I do greatly appreciate the offer. It is my hope that things will pick up for everyone once the expansion comres out. If not then well we will cross that bridge ...

It is my hope that things will pick up for everyone once the expansion comres out.

Trust me... I do as well.

we still have some loyal MWCers submitting scores. I can't give up on the corn fields.

Maybe they will follow you.

If not then well we will cross that bridge ...

Then we shall discuss this at a later date.

I can't give up on the corn fields.

Your devotion to your empire earns you nothing but respect Surther. I will do no more than echo Arclite and say if ever you wish to join you would be most welcome.

If not then well we will cross that bridge ...

Hopefully one we will never come to

Ah, Roanoke, I drive straight through there every time. The problem with taking US11 or the Blue Ridge Pkwy is that it would make the trip even longer for me.

#1132 by Veteran Theoden of Rohan - 1/29/2004 1:36:56 PM

Certainly the Blue Ridge Pkwy is not meant for efficient travel! Right now, large portions of it are closed, because there is no snow removal for the Parkway. It should re-open in a few weeks when things melt...

In the meantime I have to beat the war drums so we can catch back up to you guys. I have been playing a small maso these last couple of days that has not been going well. Maybe time to restart. Or I could go for the purple heart and submit some losing scores. Does your overall score actually go down when you submit a losing score??

#1135 by Veteran Theoden of Rohan - 1/29/2004 3:59:31 PM

I'm not sure. It certainly couldn't help your score that much.

Haven't I seen DarkPaladin roaming around here lately? Maybe if you just yell really loud, they'll wake up!

HHEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYY, FFAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMEEEEERRRRRRRRRSSSSS!!!!!

#1136 by Citizen Arcilte - 1/29/2004 4:03:57 PM

We thought the sounds of breaking tractors would get them coming... but it didn't.

#1137 by Citizen KEmperor - 1/29/2004 4:10:12 PM

It most definately hurts your score.

#1138 by Veteran surther - 1/29/2004 7:44:47 PM

Maybe I will pass on the purple hearts then. We need all the positive scoring we can get. Though the purple heart does look

With the beta version of Altarian Prophecy, there is now a new level Obscene/Suicidal. How will this effect the statbot?

It really is brilliant

#1141 by Veteran surther - 1/30/2004 1:59:36 PM

I am sure someone will find a way to beat it. I wonder if he will allow the AI to cheat at that level??

#1142 by Veteran surther - 1/30/2004 2:03:54 PM

Yeah!!

Back to 4th. I guess the recalc and five or six games submitted by the quiet but deadly MWC pushed up back up.

The slump may be coming to an end. With a new wave of submissions a good group of loyal MWCers have returned to their second love (their computers) and begun playing good old Galciv again.

#1144 by Citizen Jaws the Wayfarer - 1/30/2004 4:00:50 PM

Hi surther my question regarding the statbot is that i've submiteed 2 games at suicidal to the metaverse, but thet statbot doesn't recognise them in the calcs for av difficulty

#1145 by Citizen Arcilte - 1/30/2004 4:16:42 PM

Yeah!! Back to 4th. I guess the recalc and five or six games submitted by the quiet but deadly MWC pushed up back up.

Congrats... for now. I know the Jedi Republic is ready to move.

#1146 by Veteran surther - 1/30/2004 5:17:12 PM

I am sure they will have the difficulties applied to the game in the final version. Some of my first Galciv submisions still do not list the difficulty because it had not been applied back then either.

#1147 by Veteran surther - 1/31/2004 12:46:33 AM

If I spend all my time chatting in the new empires forum, then who will keep this string afloat??

The Jedi's and the Hobbits? Who else has kept this thread afloat. (besides you Surther)

We've done a pretty good job for you so far, asides from a few damaged tractors that is
