Gamma Squad just passed Apolyton on the Empire Chart. Seems like we are seeing a return by some of the precursors.

Yeah, I just saw a Gone Golder that posted yesterday!

It would be great to see some of these "dead" empires come back.

I personally would like to see a Fellowship Story group. Brad said individual bloggers could be grouped together, and that would be a great way to keep up with who wrote what!Anybody think that's a good idea? Or even possible?

Actually, we are about to launch the Metaverse Fiction Site quite soon. That forum allows us to group stories by categories and subcategories. Seems like we are going to be spoilt for choice.

That site allows you to search stories by categories, authors and titles. Very cool.

Looking forward to seeing that, Ray! We need someplace to keep all of the stories that come out of this forum.

Okay, I've transferred the Temptation of the Ring (Evil Ray) story over to the GC Fan Fiction site. I'm assuming that any new installments should be posted there.

Very good Theoden

Now this is one of the limitations of these kinds of sites...

Theoden, since you posted each chapter of that story, written by a bunch of different folks, You've created a cohesive, easy to read story.

On the other hand, lets say I wanted to look for all the work of Ray or Matt. I couldn't do that now because Theoden is the posting author.

If we were to have each individual create an account on the site and post their own work, it would be almost impossible to keep it cohesive, as there are often many writers of one story. But I'd be able to look up each author and see their works.

I'm leaning towards having it work the way Theoden has posted. I'd much rather have an easy read than the ability to search authors.

Plus Theodan, in the summary of each chapter, specified and credited the actual author.

I don't know guys, take a look and let me know what you all think. This is a community site and your input is welcomed

My Stardock Central thing is acting weird. It says this topic was last updated 4 days ago. Anyone else get that? It's not obvious to me when I'm missing things.

Not sure I understand that new GC Fan Fiction site. I managed to log in but it thinks all Evil Ray stories are written by Theoden (plagiarist!) and it won't let me add my latest chapter.

Same here, right click on the GalCiv Forum Button and click reset list. That'll get it current. You'll need to do that untill stardock fixes it.

see my post #1756 about the plagarism

Yay! It works!

It doesn't answer my question about where I should continue the story. Theoden?

Hmmm...I was under the impression that after I transferred all the chapters over, everybody could pick up where we left off.

Apparently, it only allows one author of a story. Sorry it looks like plagiarism, Matt...I tried to credit everyone for every chapter in the summary. I certainly can't (and wouldn't) take credit for your excellent installments!

idle, does this mean to continue the Evil Ray series, it'll have to be posted here and copied over to the GC FanFic site? I hope not! I want everyone to get due credit for their work!

Sorry, should have put a by my accusation of plagiarism. I wouldn't want you to think I was all . I don't normally use s - there's always something about them that's not exactly .

Could always go back to putting all the relevant stories on a big page as before.

Two years ago, at about this time (Eastern US), the United States was attacked by terrorists, killing many innocent people. Today marks a solemn occasion in our history and those who witnessed the events first-hand will never forget what they saw that day.

I stop now for a moment to take a moment of quiet reflection and remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day.

God Bless America.

Okee-dokee,

The end of another workday! Finally! Only one more day till I get a well-deserved vacation. Hopefully, I can play a game or two in the couple of days I'll have at home, but I'm going to the beach for 4 days next week so I won't be around then.

Everybody have a great night!

Have a great vacation, Theoden!

BTW, you have work to do for the empire when you get back.
Put my explanation to TheFrolickingMan on the Metaverse scoring in our FAQ page.
That's a real popular question. Thanks.

Just completed a Maso Tiny. Have to say that Tinies are easier than Gigantics in difficulty. I found myself confident of victory after 4 years after I rushed my first AI.

I've also managed to seize top spot on the Evil board for the first time. Now to retake the Neutral spot and I'll be top of all three.

I'm taking a break from Gigantics and I'll be playing myself up the map sizes. Would be interesting to see the differences in score between them.

Noticed an interesting statistic while viewing the overall alignment board.

Top1-25 alignment spread Pure Good to Pure Evil (4,11,4,4,2)
Top26-50 alignment spread (1,17,0,7,0)

Chaotic Good's the definite majority.

Well, yeah! I thought I already had proven that.

I was actually going to talk about another interesting statistic which was that there were only Chaotic Goods and Choatic Evils in the Top26-50 but discovered that I missed a Pure Good fellow.

Marginal improvement in score moving up from Tiny to Small. 20k to 21k.

Ray,

I updated the FAQ page with that answer. That seems to be the best way to explain the monthly blocks, by actually working the numbers for ppl to see. Good job!

I'm not leaving for the beach until Wednesday, so I might drop into the forums a little bit Monday and/or Tuesday. Depends on how much I get done around the house this weekend, I guess.
