believe if i udnerstand what your saying you click on browse and point it to your mod folder manually

OK, now I do not know what you mean

and i'm not sure about your last question, could you restate it
I think you refer to the second line?

When you start the Writer the first thing that pops up is a thing called "Data file management" What is that good for?

So how do i make it (the Editor) to see the mod folder. When i keep the set as it is it dont see it.That data file editor sees it but the main editor don't.

okay, i assume your asking why doesn't the main editor see your galciv/mods folder correct?

you got to tools>options: click galciv path browse, then select your mod folder
same with altarian prophecies

And what's that mod manager about? since it appears to be not usable at the moment, i have to ask

looks like it works fine to me, it's used to switch between mods easily like myships to ascended evangelists ships

Oh and the Info text at the standart ID always shows the this sets the Pol Party ID text

???

Well, exept of an error (confusing and long) massage, it then only sees the mod folder and gives me the same error message every swich i do.

Not here, it does not give me any choises to compose stuff.

In the options there is the info about Default starting IDs. When you put the mouse above it an info pops up. All fields below the PolParty ID say that that would be standard PolParyID. Wonders,ImpsID too

I forgot about a hotmail acct I have that should handle it okay I think. My Website will handle that size of upload though.

Opps spoke to soon I would need too upgrade the darn account for 5 meg files. I will not be able to test it out after all. Only other way is to post it at my Galciv website. Sorry I just am not a fan of Yahoo for anything.

I believe that our trusty beta testing coordinator, the 3rd child, is presently away on vacation, so I will go ahead and announce the next release of the Galciv Writer.

v2.0.0-alpha7 has a bunch of additional fixes including a bug involving the mod directories.

Please send email to galcivwriter@yahoo.com Email if you want to test this new version and give feedback/bugreports. As far as I know, there are now only 9 outstanding bugs. Still need to back up the following 4 directories before running v2.0.0-alpha7 for "safety". One of these bugs is a problem launching Galciv and AP from the GalcivWriter itself, so until this is resolved, launching of these must be manual (but keep the GalcivWriter running simultaneously if you want to use the built-in Mod Manager). Please send all bug reports (with screenshots) to galcivwriter@yahoo.com Email as usual. We especially need feedback on the new features, such as the Mod Manager.

v2.0.0-beta1 should be the next version and will include automatic renumbering of IDs. Either v2.0.0-beta1 or some later version of v2.0.0-betaX will add in support for the logistics ability.
