More New Animated Ship Graphics Available - MDL files and SHIP files

This weekend I did the Stargate vessel called Thor's Hammer, an Asgard capital ship.
It's a late game ship, the final step after the Excaliber (get it by inventing "Galatic Domination").
Unpack the zip file in a temporary folder and read the readme file for instructions.

I was putting them at my FTP site because it was much faster and much easier  And far less "red tape."
If the new version of GC wasn't in the pipe line I might consider putting them in this site's library.
The long answer?
The the main reason I haven't put these ship mods in the library is due to the fact that I created these for myself primarily. As such, they require existing mods created by others in order to function; they also would require all of my own technology mods. I simply don't have the time to track people down and ask for thier permission to incorporate thier mods or deviations of thier mods with my own. It is doubtful I can even contact all the various people or abtain valid email to all of them. There seems to be too many hoops to jump through in order to put up some new ship graphics, which are useless without "*.Ship" files which require various technologies not in the basic release of the game.
I did have an alternative to all of this: It was a large mod package at my FTP which I have since removed due the amount of space it takes and the lack of interest. I feel most wouldn't really want to bother with something that big, especially if they were already using mods. If the game was more popular, the forums more active, the interest more intense, then I would consider altering all of my ship files to use non-mod technolgies of the original release of the game, then put them at my FTP. Actually, more than half of my 15 (or so) new ship MDLs and associated SHIP files use only core game technologies. You can always check my FTP for new ship graphic MDL creations. You can edit the SHIP file in Note Pad to your desires. Everything I do IS "public domain" and can be freely shared, modified, and even up-loaded without even mentioning me. I always provide a install instruction "readme" text file.
Well... it's all a mute issue now, because the new GC version is coming, I pretty much don't care anymore. My attention will go to the new version, naturally

Hi Chippoka! Oh my god!!! You already removed your mod package?!?!?! Couldn't you post it for me one more time??????? Else I would be completely crashed..... PLEASE!!!!!!!! I already wrote down a message in some other thread of the mod forum regarding your package!! I don't care if it's as big as the Mt. Everest!! I just would like to have it! BEG!!!! GROVEL!!!! CRY!!!!

Since I'm a total greenhorn regarding Galciv mods I certainly would welcome a "complete package". But anyway I'd like to know if the Chippoka package is a myth or if it really was online for a short time... For the one hand I heard it never has been published 'til now and on the other hand Chippoka himself wrote that he had it in his ftp for a short period and then "dismissed" it due to lack of interest...

Wow, I leave for a while, and come back for a peak.... I didn't expect to even see this thread, to be honest.
I've been playing this crazy game a lot lately! Lol.... killing a lot of otherwise useful time! Darn it! Well, its hard to leave it alone. Still love it.
I pulled it off my ftp after discovering the play balance needed much more work than I thought. I think I have this worked out. Cross your fingers.
I've refined and play balanced of the entire package of ships and improvements and poltical parties; and I am very happy with it; but it's hard to say if my tastes will work for others (but I can hope, I suppose). I just hope at least one person tries it and finds it pretty cool, especially all the new ship graphics. I tried very hard to keep this similar to the original "flavor" of the game in terms of style and improvement settings.
Look, this package is for tactically thinking players whom are NOT in a hurry to win, not looking to post a score, but whom are looking for some SciFi gaming fun; and, perhaps intense gaming (at times, depending on your game settings).
Please notice your ships and thier abilties! Even the original ships! Watch that maintence cost!! Some are high! Others are low! It depends on things and adds more strategy to the game!
That simple tactical nuclear missile is an early gain that can take down nasty enemy Skarren Dreadnaughts in groups of 7 to 8 missiles (the Skarren ship is baddest enemy ship in mid-game play ---- very hard to kill, will p*ss you off).
Then there are those Mark 1 and Mark 2 mines.... hmm... using the gravity launcher (a mod gained with Sub-Space Movement technology, err, another fine mod by somebody at these forums) from a starbase to push these slow moving things deep into space can be interesting....
Or, how about the DS-9 battle station gained in a trade deal? It can be a magnet to nasty powerful enemy ships - saving your tail when you are not ready for war.... and it can take a serious beating and survive (defensively).

I now have the two ship sets complete for this package: one for slow speed games at the beginning, and the other for regular speed ships.
The slow speed edition is for a lot for tactical expansion according to the race-political abilties and picks you have. I like it the best
The release is a big file due the graphic files. It will be a zip that needs to be unpacked into a temporary folder. Follow the readme instructions in the zip. This package needs to be a stand-alone install to the game; the AP edition, but it should work on GC (not sure though). You need to place your Data folder contents in a storage folder for later use (when you want to later restore it).
I'll get this back online soon ; today, hopefully.
Lastly: THANKS very much to all the other modders whom have made mods which made it into this package. Many mods did make it... if they didn't spoil the basic flavor of the core game. In the readme file, I give credit to all the original mod authors and hope nobody will be irritated at my sharing this package of lots of mods; mods that are combined into one playable game package; plus adapted mods, plus my own ideas.
Please! Save every other turn in big wars! Save every ten turns otherwise. The game still can crash from time to time for no reasons (mods installed or not). I do NOT believe this combination of mods will lead to making the game less stable. I see no evidence of that.

PS - I will try to work out a ship graphic mod package of MDL files + * dot ship files, but they may not work if certain technology mods are not already installed in your version of the game. You can change that in Note Pad (or similar text editor) by replacing a invalid technology call with a valid one.

The most current file is now online:
1E Combined Mods.Zip
There was a 1D Combined Mods dot zip, but I removed this due to the fact I accidently put an old Monster MDL graphic into the zip file. That is corrected in the 1E Combined Mods dot zip file.
BTW, this is just to big to try to place at this site's library (I'm not sure they would accept such a large zip file anyway). It simply is much easier for me to put this at my on-line ftp site for the time being.

Hey Mr Ethical here is the rules for my website you agreed to when joining. You broke every single one of them but here is a sample. I already informed another galciv fansite of your exploits and he will ban you on sight from Galactic Core owner. He wondered why I put up with you as long as I did.

How many times you gonna repeat yourself.. sounds like to me same person trying to stir this up.
Its your next turn to draw from the deck, this was over until you showed up creating waves!  Interesting Chippoka must have more then one name.  Either that they breed more people like him then I thought.

Eithics? The onus is on you, because I'm not the one running a web site trying to attract new members. Your credibility is being destroyed by your own lack of proper ethical judgement and proper behaviour here in a public place; you are in willfull violation of this site's rules (go read them if you believe in them so much) that you agreed to abide by when joining this site. You should be at least be banned for a few weeks from these forums. I need not say more.
Your "truth" is slander and heresay, and has already been debated via private Emails and PMs between you and me, not in the "Public." We couldn't agree, so I left you and your site. Now what more do you want? To be vindictive and force me to leave the GC community simply because I REFUSE to AGREE with YOU? It won't happen... I will not rehash material already discussed. Here we go again! You broke the rules of my site completely, even though I politely told you over and over where to report the post.
You told me I MUST accept any tone or attitude you have toward me unless I am a website wannabe. My God man its your credibility at risk here. New members are pouring onto my site all the time. You actually are the arrogant to think that your words here mean anything against me?
Your turf, puulllllease! This is nothing about any of the jibberish you keep typing over and over. It is about having respect for the rules of any website and the one running it.
All I ask is for you to at least say your sorry, you were wrong, something like you did say in the NeoTech forums. Then because I told you (as you did me in no certain words just very lousey showing how you are in the real world) how I felt, you say, oh all of that trust and respect I said you earned by reading all my messages and not saying word like I am emotionless?
The is one person and one only who has said a word about this between you and I in these forums. Darklor I think is his name. Most everyone else could give a damn or totally agree with me and my actions.
Right at this moment and time you are banned at 5 websites if your IP shows up. (Including the one you mentioned first or soon will be once I give him your IP. Darth Griffin is a friend of mine we have a good relationship and I already told him all about you, and I am sending him the messages you sent me.) He told me I should have banned you with the first message after I send you one to back off. I instead tried to deal with you politely as I could for almost 2 months of you constantly bitching about all sorts of nonsense that we could never replicate and fix. I finally got a screenshot and moved it to the correct forum to be worked on. It was fixed in about 10 minutes. Was all your messed up attitude worth it to?

I would love to puy this to bed, but because you are the type of person you are I know your going to keep going on and on. What point and direction does this lead?
