Newbie Mod Question

You've been warned, if newbie questions bug you, it's not my fault!

hehehe...

Anyway, eagerly looking over the mod list, and I was curious if it mattered whether they are added to the basic game, or to the Altarian Prophecy upgrade. I don't see anything in the mod descriptions that helps me.

Well, generally it is better to add mods to the basic GC folder.
AP will check the GC base folders for informations anyway (most tech files only exist in the base game folders).
If you want your the mod to be available for both games it MUST be in the GC folders, if it is only supposed to be for AP, place it in the AP folders.
There is a smal amount of mods that are specifically designed for AP (or parts of the mods), the normally would tell you to place them into the AP folders, at least I do so in my BigPack mod (I still cant upload it here)
