I see a couple abilities that are very unusual...specifically, Interest Rates, Cabinet, Crime, etc. etc. Have we got a handle on 'em yet?

Also, I made a trade good that raises Influence Resistance, but apparently only will do so on the planet in which it was built, so I wonder if there is an Influence Resistance ability?

No influence resistance ability. Increasing your own influence ability can help, though.

Crime and Cabinet aren't used yet, I think. Interest rates affect leases.

What exactly is the Government(26) ability?

Good question. Thanks for the heads-up Cari, is it to be assumed that high interest is good? Is it an inverse value? I am going to run some experiments tonight, but my experience with lease values is that they can be highly variable from one turn to the next.

I believe that's part of the effect of the Loyalty ability, but it's probably not to the same degree that the local influence_resistance is.

I caught that. For my Trade Good "Acculturation Resistor" I changed it to up loyalty.

Yes, if you have a higher ability in interest rates, it gets you better rates on leases.
