Well first is about Mods-is there a page explaining how to create them? What can you mod? How integrateable are they to the game?
Is there anyway to actually see what is included in the "bonus pack"? I downloaded it from Stargate or whatever, and I can't find anywhere on either websites that actually states what is included-same with the media pack.
Is there any reason a recent README isn't available? Obvious changes from the manual etc... I checked in the GALCIV directory but only the oroginal was present, outling technical, not gameplay issues.
Why is there no clear instructions on how to work with the PLAYLIST options? No specs as to playlist format (winamp, win media, real player, music match, etc...) or directory placement.
I'm going to mess around a bit more with the music but there should be a central page with all this regularly updated nuances laid out with links to the appropriate instruction page if needed.
A gamma or brightness control would be nice as my eyeballs are being burnt by the suns! seriously the little orbs are so bright on the blacknes of space they etch little selves into my retinas. Would be nice to be able to tone that down a bit

In your data folder the files starting with "bonus" are the bonus pack.
You turn on the mp3 playlist from the right hand of the options screen, simply put mp3s in there and it will create the default playlist, or add you own playlists

Ok-well i found alink to the bonus pack page.
Regarding the playlist-duh. I tried adding playlists of my own-i tried specifying the path, and various combinations of the above and evntually just put mp3 in the music directory and played the defualt playlist which seems to be the only one that works-the ones i created do not and i tried a bunch of differnt types
