Having GalCivWriter troubles.

I just got the GalCivwriter program downloaded, and I've tried it with both the original version and the latest 1.02A version, and I've run into the same two problems with both of them.
The first problem I've had is an error message that says some files are missing with the gvbox.ocx .
The second problem I've been having, when I'm not encountering that first error, is that it either says it can't find the /data/ folder or path, or that it can't find the GalCiv/data folder or path.
Now, I do have GalCiv, Stardock, and GalCivWriter all downloaded and installed on this computer, and the latest versions of GalCiv and the GalCivWriter are downloaded and installed as well.
