Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I'll be submitting my first six event mods sometime this week. I'll give one last once over just to make sure the pictures look good and to make sure the events will work right.
Here is a list of what you can expect
1. Area 51
2. Cold War
3. Secret Weapon
4. Constitution
5. Historical Site
6. Rain Forest

Cool, looking forward to it!
I trust the Writer is behaving itself, now?

lol. Yep, Bill, it's working just fine now. Starting to get the hang of making mods. Thanks for all the help.

No worries! Glad to be of service.

Yep, I remember reading it in another post, and double checked that in my mods. I submitted them last night, at least 5 of the 6. But, I learned from the librarian about the very stict (and IMHO, very ridiculous) rules about no picture downloading and no diskette usage allowed (add that to the equally strict and equally ridiculous rule of no sending or checking email), so, the 6th mod along with my new mod I created today (Famine) will have to wait until the 3rd week of July, when I am visiting my mom in Texas, to be submitted.
Don't worry though, I have a list of 27-30 other ideas for mods that I'll be working on in the meantime, and I'll add pictures and submit them either in July, or late August when college starts up again.
The 5 I did manage to submit before being scolded should be out sometime later today or tommorow, I would guess. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Hmm. My mods haven't been approved yet, oddly enough. I'm pretty sure they work, because I added them to my data folder and have encountered them myself in-game.
Well, just thought I'd drop by and let everyone know I have 7 new events made, which I will submit in July.
They are:
1. Controversial Books
2. Famine
3. General Washburn
4. Historical Site (from before)
5. Mafia
6. Legendary Mercenary
7. Open Revolt
Hope you enjoy the 5 mods once they get approved and added to the library, and the other 7 once I get the opportunity to submit them.

I'm looking forward to playing with your work.

Just where is this "library" that I keep hearing about? I would be very much interested in downloading anything new for GalCiv to keep it fresh.
Thanks.

I saw a few threads discussing how some pics were showing up all messed up in-game because they had to switch 16-bit photos to 8-bit photos or something like that, and while my events did show up and work in-game, my pics faced that same problem, and I'm wondering if that's what is keeping my events from reaching the library.
Now, I have Jasc Photoshop Pro 7 and MS Paint at home, and using my Photoshop Pro, I can change jpgs to pcxs and vice versa, but for the life of me I can't figure out where to go in it to change 16-bit pcxs and jpgs into 8-bit pcxs and jpgs. I went to that one site on one of the threads to download the software, but it says I didn't have permission to download it, and that it would cost $20.
Does anybody know how I can use Photoshop Pro to do the trick? If so, let me know at Email or Email ,preferably the email account, but I do check my hotmail account every so often as well.
Thanks!
