I want to customise the music files for GalCiv, but I want to know which file gets played when.

The Event Music folder is pretty easy to figure out, except for one file: MW Does anyone know when this gets played?

As for the main Music folder...

Space00 is the music that plays when you're on your first turn. But when do the other Spacexx files start to play?

SPY: I guess plays when you have an espionage message.

THINKING: I don't know when this one plays.

Unease: ditto.

Losing: I GUESS this plays when you start losing... (master of the bleeding obvious! )

That's pretty much it. The main files I want to swap are the Spacexx files and the ones in which I had a query to. If anyone knows which file gets played when I would sure like to know.

Thanks,
Stofsk

I assumed it chooses randomly between the space files when it finishes playing a track. I can't confirm this though.

I replaced most of the sounds in my mod, but from my eperiences, there seems to be quite a few that are never used. Morevoer, two of the ones that came with game seem to be corrupted.

One interesting thing that Cari told me was that was that certain numbered sound effects correspond to different ship experience levels. For example, laser01 will play for level 1 ships, while laser02 will play for level 2. Also, that text file included that says pear sounds need to be 16-bit unsigned 22khz is obsolete and no longer valid.
