I have tried several times to download certain files from the Galciv library but each time I have been prevented from doing so. I'm new at this so can someone please help me out here? Any imput will be most appreciated.

Can you be more specific about why you can't download? Is it giving you an error message?

What kind of unzip program are you using?

Winzip will be the best solution, they have afree beta 9 version, really simple to use. You just need to download the files to the specific path, also check to see if you have a firewall installed in your computer, that can prevent you for downloading also.

Here's some more info on my problem. Specifically, when I tell it to download a file, it goes ahead and copies the files without a hitch. But when it's done with that, it tells me that either it isn't a window help file or the file is corrupted. Could somebody tell me how to fix or bypass this problem? Thanks for the help!

Sounds to me like you don't have WinZip properly associated with the ZIP extension. In Windows Explorer, click once on the file you downloaded to highlight it, then hold down SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK on the file, choose Open With... and then click on Choose Program and/or Browse and then navigate to your WinZip directory. It should be something like C:\Program Files\WinZip and then double click on Winzip.exe
Check the box that says Always Use This Program ... and then click on OK.
That should do it.

Ah, so close and yet so far.  I tried your suggestion Lothmorg and I got as far as the open with/browse part but was unable to locate the winzip file. I have no idea why this is. If you or anyone else for that matter has farther instructions I'd really appreciate it. Hmm, maybe if I tried the open from the current location option...
