Any hints on when/if there will be a capability to get info on techs in the diplo screen and info on improvements in the governor's screen?
Thanks.

That screenshot.... disturbs me. There seems to be some people obsessed with asses on the dev team.

Heh, looks like the sort of crap I fill in if writing code and in the beginning stages, "imagine that this button did something useful..."
As for the 1.03, any eta on that gem?

For the right-hand side (techs that the viewed tech leads to) can you indicate in the mini-box if there are other pre-reqs not yet known? It would be handy to see if a certain tech will allow immediate progression down a certain path without having to navigate up and down the tree.
Looks like a great step forward btw although of course by now we can already recite the tech tree in our sleep

Will the expansion pack add any new races? ships?
Keep up the good work guys! BTW it's "piece" not "peice"

Based on the screen shot alone, WOW, this will make the game so much more fun.

Will there still be a way to browse a list of the currently available techs? I'm assuming this is an optional tree view... is that right?
It will be *very* nice to be able to traverse the tech tree in this way , but it's also nice to scroll through the currently available techs without going up and down a tree.

Sorry for spoiling the party, but for me not having the tech tree in the basic game means that something is wrong with the basic game. This option should be added as soon as possible and not in the x-pac. The
x-pac should do something nice to the game and not add something that should be there from day one.

the expansion pack is free. it's basically a huge patch with more devel time allocated to allow them to make big changes like this one. Your complaint is, exactly, what?
|
| by Citizen Astromarine - 4/19/2003 9:40:54 AM |
|
Can you guys please remember to update the "Last updated" Dates?
Thank you

To Astromarine: in the case of stardock you are correct. They are giving the x-pac for free, so it is basically a huge patch.
If they were to sell the x-pac, then presenting this feature as a good thing for the x-pac is wrong. In my view not having it from the start is kind of messed up.

A tech tree feature in-game is not a show stopper, by that I mean the game plays exactly the same with, or without the feature.
It's a "nice to have" and was probably ditched from the first versions because of resource issues. I'm happy they are adding it at a later date, but the game certainly isn't "messed up" or "broken".

Congratz! I am waiting for this feature since the thing came out!!! I love ya all Stardock!
It's really funny what you're filling in while coding.... The "Rectum Navigator" disturbs me, though...

Hello ! Just a suggestion : What about set the number of resources at the start of the game (for example : ultra-poor, poor, average, rich, ultra-rich) ?

I have a strange question can I pay you for the expansion if I want? You deserve more money this game is to good to be true and the support is phenomenal.
Thanks
