the value must be 10 to grant a speed effect of 1; a known GC fact (at least to modders) You will recon that the Patrol corp has a speed bonus of 30 (3 moves) too

Stop sneaking the code if you don't understand what it does

just kidding of cause; it is a thing you have to know of to understand

The game is giving me a +10 boost, though. Here's a screen shot. http://users3.ev1.net/~alankh/GalCivScreen.jpg Link

you also get a 10 points speed bonus or only 1 point?

If you realy get the 10 points, then SD fixed the code, and I'll update the mod; but in my tests it only was a 1 point bonus

I'll tweak the file on my system to make sure it's +1 and not +10. Although nine starbases in the home sector with that module could do wonders for my freighter rush.

Hey Tolotos,

thanks for your great job!

Exist a german version of your Big Pack?
Have you experience how it works with the german
'GalCiv Gold Edition'?
Your earlier mods I retranslated for my own purpose into german, my work is not good enough to publish

Are there more spherical space crafts / ships in this new Big Pack ?

(Hope in GalCiv II ShipDesign it is possible to create
own spherical ships

)

Well since i speak relatively perfect english, i don't need a german version; thats why there is no german version.

There are no additional spheric ones, but other new ones

Okee doke, sounds logical.

One advantage I've found with the Tolot Pack is that useful trade with the minors lasts longer. It used to be that once they get Dreadnaught tech (usually that means one researches it, I trade for it and give it to the other minors) they don't have anything to trade anymore. Now I see them researching those funky research-boosting techs like Astralplain Theory. In the game I submitted, I saw one research Avatar before any of the majors!

(The fact that I gave him a slightly-built-up size 13 planet helped. I will sometimes colonize size 13-14 planets near a minor and give 'em away to boost the potential of outsourced R&D - and give 'em better odds of staving off the majors.)

That should read "In the game I submitted *today*"

Big Pack is my favorite Mod of all time for Galciv AP. I am still trying to find the scrambled text I saw once but forgot to write down the technology.

Just downloaded and added in the Big Pack, and now the game crashes within the first few minutes, though at different times. Any suggestions, help, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have other mods active at the same time?

No, it was actually my first attempt at adding a mod. I have found that by removing the addon Gfx, it seems to work again. Is that stuff worthwhile? I must admit, i really enjoy the little patrol graphics, very cool.

Does anyone know if Toloc wants to know about spelling errors? Minor stuff, I know, but I've spotted a few.

Sure I want to know about stuff like that
the problem you explained sounds like some files landed in a wrong gfx directory, that may bring up the crash problem you described

Ah, help from the master! I'm not worthy... hehehe...

thanks for the diagnostic, I'll double check where I put things, and try and put the add-on stuff back in.

What I have seen so far is really cool by the way, thanks for all your hard work!!!
