Greetings,
has anyone found out what determines the total surrender? This happened twice in my game and has basically ruined it.
I was fighting against the Yor when they decided to surrender completely to the already winning Drengin. Even worse, the only allies of the Drengin, the Torians, got the whole Arcean empire because they couldn't cope with the Drengin. Now I'm faced with an opposition of Drengin (2,500B people) and Taurians (1,500B) with a total of 4,000B against my 1,000 B empire. Not very difficult to imagine that I don't have a big chance anymore...
Therefore I want to know what did i wrong (if at all) - or was it just bad luck that everyone surrendered to the worst enemy + his ally?

i think it depends of the relationships (whether friendly, hostile etc) and the alignment (good, evil etc). the surrender message usually implies why they surrendered to a particular race (eg we thwart your goal of galactic domination by surrendering to someone else)
