Mods BIG problem...

A while ago I downloaded mods for GalCiv, and only the technology shows up for them, and the StarBase modules all disappear. None of the technology overviews show any new modules. Also, I research a new tech (from any mod) and it never shows anything new or any bonuses! Any suggestions! please help!
