There is a crash in 1.22 and 1.52 caused by trade routes which I've fixed. I think that we're going to put up another update this afternoon unless we decide to give it another day for people to report bugs.

i think i'm having the same problem, i just updated to 1.22 and it crashes the next turn, when the UP is supposed to come up. but it came up before without a problem, so I don't know.

Since the latest update to 1.22, I have not been able to play a game to completion. Its now crashing to the desktop. Is there anything I can do besides waiting for a fix to cure this?

Hello my name4 is jacob and i bought this GalCiv about 5 years ago at the age of 11 and playerd still i was 12 but then i had to move and i lost in the move but just found the cd yestureday but not the cd key so i went online to find one and found it and i am playing it now but wen i start a game after like 15 or more turns the game crashes and i can't use the cd key to get the pacth so what am i going to do i liek this game bc it was the first game that got me into game that and zuse and prosiden but i just wona play the game.
p.s PLEASE HELP ME!

Galciv for windows was available in march 2003. Less than 2 years.

i don't rember exlackly when i bought it or got it its been a wile sents i last had saw it so i can't rember but i got it to work now.

OK, i read all the forums, tried everything..... music would not work.
FINALLY!!!! I fixed it all!!!! I just downloaded the media files after i did the update and it all works great now. (man i feel like i need to go back to lickin the window of the short bus, but sometimes the obvious is the answer)

I can't get the GalCiv demo sound to work at all on my laptop. I have tried all the suggestions (new drivers, bink, etc). For comparison I tried it on a desktop and the sound works well, but the laptop is a complete no-go. Interestingly, when playing movies with the Bink player, sound is fine, and when playing MP3s with Media Player they are normal... but in-game, on the laptop, the sound does not work at all, whether it's the bink movie cutscenes or the button-pressing audio.
Any other suggestions?

When I play a saved game it crashes back to Windows after awhile. There seems to be no set time it will crash, nor any particular event. It did it with the original and the upgrade added. If I don't save, the game keeps playing on and on until I stop without a crash. I have tried the things listed.
I'm running it on a Dell Dimension 8250 3.06Ghz W/HT running Windows XP SP2. 512 MB Ram, 256MB NVidia 6800 video card. Soudblaster Live sound card.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
