But it is a new record - SD cleared his old one. Same with Loth. All of the games of the affected players simply disappeared.

mayto888 isn't showing any games prior to 2004.. maybe he accidently reset his account by changing player name.. so their scores may have been dropped.. but they do have a score on the metaverse ladder.. http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/index.asp?searchtext=mayito8888&TopPlayersList=Overall&GalaxySize=0&submit2=GO Link

Stardock wiped his old scores just like they did Lothmorg the Black. Look him up. Hed was #1 and had 300+ games and 3,000,000+ points.

Its bringing back memories of that incodent that we all don't like talking about where stardock dropped games that they stated were cheating.. I'm pretty sure that loth was one of them involved.. I can't remember clearly.. stardock never (to my memory stated who they were..) I know it was from high up on the ladder and posting a lot of games / day .. it did come as a huge shock to all

It was pretty ugly. We have not heard from Loth since, and we all miss him. He was an intregal part of the Guardians.

A long time ago, before I joined the forums/meta, a member of GROSS was accused of cheating as well. I think it was EBZeroMatrix, but I could be wrong.

Yes, Lothmorg and mayito were involved and have seen their games dissappeared.

We've gone over this enough times. Repeating the accusations serves no purpose but to reopen old wounds.
But, what the hell:

Lothmorg, the number one player, who had been submitting several galactic maso conquest victories a day, was accused of resubmitting the same hacked game repeatedly; he denied it but quit anyway.

Mayito / Mario / The Renegade, also in the top ten, confessed to creating a political party that gave him a +30% PQ boost and then using modding tools to delete the party before the game ended so he could submit without triggering the anomalous flag. He defended himself by saying that there was nothing in the rules about not modding the game that way, and he only gave himself the same advantages the Maso AIs got anyway. (Incidentally, I don't think his cheat would have helped much - nothing he did would have stopped the AIs taking the same political party.)

Both had their entire records wiped.

My own cheating strategy, of using modding tools to give scouts the ability to destroy enemy planets, has yet to be detected.

(Just kidding about that - I'm pretty sure you'd get caught if you tried it.)

you can have pq%+'s passed 30%... what triggered the cheat was that they changed the party back again.. (I've worked out the max your allowed.. others know it too i'm sure.. )

and your right anything you chanmged in the partys effect all players including the AI's so you all get those bonuses

As I stated before it was because they changed the party back from their moded party that triggered the cheat anomoly in the submitted games..

They've changed the game so that you can't change the party's anymore after the game has started (its saved in the save games etc...)

Thats enough talk about that now.. I was only looking into it because someone mentioned that their scores were dropped but their games were still on their played games player list..
I didn't want to re-open wounds.. and tried to stay away from it..

I only play with one mod and yes its a modded party.. but as I've stated it does effect all players in the game... so there is no actual advantage it just makes the game more interesting

You can go to 40% actually. But I've read that you can surpass that as long as it comes from anomalies.

I did.

Really, we shouldn't forget stuff like that. I have no idea what evidence Stardock beyond what the individuals told me. In mario's case he said what he did. Loth had nothing say, he just left. However, I still want to side with him.

It should forever be a warning to all, don't cheat. It won't advance your Meta score.

Why?

#43  by Citizen Matthew Downie - 9/3/2004 10:15:57 AM

Because they're not my wounds, and I'm secretly evil.

They kept telling me about that pasty blue smiley…

Yes, that light blue face is me grinning smugly at the thought of your imminent demise.
I'm thinking of becoming a Lex Luthor-style criminal mastermind. I'm just worried that there might be a lot of paperwork involved.

Anything personal, or just the target of the day?

No, no, no. The PQ limit is in the Stats area call Planet Quality. This is the element that must remain below 40%. Any anomoly or improvment, etc. can build up the Planet Quality metric. Mods can build it up faster. I have played with mods that have pushed it up to 35% with individual planet PQ up to 120.

Oh, I meant 'you' plural. I have no particular grudge against you personally. When I finally crush you, it will mean no more to me than were I to step on an ant. I hope this is of some comfort to you.
