Dream Warrier, is it now?

Any chance of a reevaluation getting 'Certified by Stardock' on some of the older mods?

Well, the Pack is submitted

All mods now evaluated and have been made public, or the creator informed by email why it wasnt.

Many thanks to those who submitted new mods. Once again you have outdone yourselves.

New Spotlight Mod

The mod highlighted this week is

Star Fighter Mk2 by Amaymon

Once again Amaymon has outdone himself with this great mod. Included in the dowload zip is a great introduction, write-up and full install instructions. This makes the new ship very easily useable and easy to install and understand.

Other new mods include:-

Halut Pack 1.5 by Icho Tolot - A collection of linked mods

The Greldonizer by The Renegade - A new Improvement mod

Dream Warrior, can you go over my Mods and authorize those that you'd like to authorize?

I have tons of events and top d/ls but none are "AUTHORIZED"

I removed the Death Glider mode. This ship is superb, but makes the frigate obsolete before it appears first, and I didn't like that.

Actually, I use the Death Glider and Frigate together. The Death Glider is quite a bit more expensive, both to build and to maintain. If you have a large fleet, you can have 3 Frigates for every 2 Death Gliders. I like to have a few Death Gliders around for defensive escorts and for a little extra punch, but the main part of my fleet are still Frigates because I'd go broke with all Death Gliders.

Well, a quick question:
Can i rename a mod while editing or do i have to (should) send a new one?
I'm working on Halut Pack 1.8 you know some new stuff in it

Sorry to take so long getting back to you Icho....

Yes you can. Just change the name as you edit the mod description. You can also change the graphic by uploading a new one at the same time if you wish.

Quick AP and GC question. If I have AP installed along with GalCiv, where do I put the mod's at? Under the AP directory or GalCiv? Or if I play both, do I need to put them under both? Did that make sense? Thanks for you help!

I have just been putting mods under the main GalCiv directory. My AP and GalCiv directories are in different drives, and anything I put in the GalCiv directory shows up in AP. So the base directory should work. I don't know if it goes both ways.

Hope this helps.

I downloaded the new trade route graphic, but now when I establish a trade route, all I get is a muddy-looking, dictorted image. What's up? I followed the instructions, I think. If for some reason I can't make it work on my computer, how do I get the old image back (the one I replaced)? All other mods working fine. Any suggestions?

The custom map submitted to the library should not be used. Apparently there is a possible bug in AP that only allows submittal of games that use Stardock generated custom maps. My experience after using the library custom map is that no games can be submitted and you get the error message of "This game is using an unauthorized custome map or scenario." You must load a Stardock custome map before any games will be accepted.

Torbid did you put the graphic in the "galciv/gfx" folder or the mods folder. It works in both. If you still have problems i can email you a fresh copy. Let me know > dream_warrior@tiscali.co.uk
